Robert Critchley is happily married to his wife Dawn and lives near Midland Ontario. He has been creating music professionally for 30 years. His journey began in the 80s with a bar band called Metrognome writing and performing an eclectic assortment of art rock with many progressive influences as well as the melodic influence of the Beatles.
In the early 90s Roberts music began to focus on his faith as Christian. Robert's anthems What A Faithful God and
My Troubled Soulare now known and sung throughout, churches worldwide. He has written over 100 worship songs and has been featured as a writer in numerous Hymnal publications and as a performer/worship-leader/writer on dozens of contemporary worship albums. He has had a 20 year relationship with Kingsway Music UK. His experience as a writer of worship music has honed his skill at crafting singable melodies and strong motifs. With this foundation he has helped many other inspirational artists produce custom CDs under the banner of Wild Ox Publishing. His clients include: Kelley and Rob Augi, Nicole Smith, Darren Clark, Julie Arndt, Diego and Laura Ladino and Peter Jackson. He has a longstanding relationship with ADS mediafor graphics, video, tracking, mixing mastering and post and duplication services.
Robert has a passion for creating cinematic pieces and is captivated by the relationship between film and music. He was privileged to score for the multi award winning short films Apples From Eden and Niagara: Thunder Of The Waters. He is currently developing a library of cinematic and commercial music for on-line licensing at www.productiontrax.com.These tracks demonstrate the diversity of his creativity and his ability to capture moods and settings in music.
